Travel to the Croatian international airport of Split with Croatia airlines, Easyjet or Wizzair. It is also possible to fly into Dubrovnik although it is a much longer drive up to most of the villas.

The restaurants in Croatia cater for all tastes and many are in beautiful settings overlooking the sea. Prices range a good deal, you can eat out reasonably cheaply as a family though once you go to a restaurant with interesting local dishes prices are definitely higher.

The main peculiarity is that the holiday homes in Croatia tend to be renovated village houses so not many offer seclusion. On the other hand, you can stay in nearly all without a car as you can walk to all facilities and it is easy to hire a car there for day trips. It is very helpful that so many Croatians speak English and are generally very friendly.
