Bird spotting in Crete is interesting due to the high mountains. In Crete you can see the rare Eleonora falcon which inhabits the cliffs at Zakros, Lammergeier vultures in the White mountains and lake Kournas attracts migrating water birds including Dalmatian Pelican.
