Pericles exhibition, Athens, Greece is a temporary display running until January 31st. Pericles, Son of Xanthippos was an important Athenian statesman who, amongst other things supported the building of the Acropolis.
The exhibition is being held in the Acropolis Museum in Athens, it is a modest but interesting presentation of ancient coins, manuscripts and such like relating to the life of Pericles, Son of Xanthippos who lived around 495BC and is known to have had a part in creating the principal of the ideal citizen in the context of democracy in Athens.
