Lac de Saint Cassien for fun in the sun on the Cote d’Azur. Located about forty minutes drive inland from Cannes, near to Grasse, the perfume capital of France, this beautiful lake is a favorite with adults and children alike.

The lake is seven kilometers long and around it are lots of footpaths which also serve as mountain bike tracks and for pony trekking. There are also numerous picnic areas set amongst the shade of the pine trees.

You can hire pedaloes for hours of fun on the lake, the children really go for the ones with slides attached. The fresh water is often an appealing blue, there are beaches along the side which make it ideal for swimming.

Fishing in the lake is also very popular, from the banks, the jetties or even by boat. There is a pony trekking centre along with a small summer snack bar.
