Formula one grand prix in Catalonia, Spain takes place in May. What a fantastic opportunity to combine a villa holiday in Spain with a world class event.
The Spanish Formula One grand prix 2011 takes place at the Circuit de Catalunya, Montmelo, Barcelona between the 20 and 22 May where it has been held for the last 20 years.
This is a track which the Formula One teams are familiar with as they use it for testing, so they can put every bit of their knowledge and skill into the fabulous variety of corners and straights.
Red Bull are off to a flyer again this year with Sebastian Vettel showing why he was champion last year, but it was Mark Webber who carried the day in Spain in 2010 from qualifying to race day. You can bet Vettel will be wanting to show who’s boss.
The Circuit de Catalunya at Montmelo is located north of Barcelona, in the region of Catalonia, which has a beautiful, mountainous hinterland and a stunning coast known as the Costa Brava. So why not take a villa for a week and go to Spain’s formula one Grand Prix, the prices in May are very reasonable so it makes little difference even if you only stay for five days and all our villas are within easy driving distance.
We have a superb selection of villas in the Catalonia countryside ranging from a three bedroom villa for 6 up to large country property with pool sleeping 21. Or we have over 60 villas in the Costa Brava to choose from, sleeping from 6 to 12 people, many with sea views and private pool. Click here to view our: villas in Spain
