The annual International Comic Strip Festival is on in Angueleme 27th to 30th January 2011.
The Truffle festival takes place in Sarlat in January in homage of the local delicacy. Last year there were 58 kilograms of “black diamond” on display with prices ranging from 600 to 900 euro per kilo.
In May three days of musical acts from around the world perform at the Musiques Metisses Festival in Angueleme.
Jazz Pourpre takes place each year in Bergerac during May, held in venues such as the Auditorium and Lembarzique café.
Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne Strawberry Festival takes place in May, this annual event is devoted to all things strawberry.
Try a piece of the world's largest strawberry tart at the Fete de la frais in Vergt on the last Sunday in May. A village Strawberry festival, held annually.
In July it’s the annual Grand Souk Festival in Riberac with pop and jazz gigs across the town.
In July and August each year the Bataille de Castillon son and lumiere event is held in Bergerac.
The annual Theatre Festival in Sarlat takes place in the summer months of July and August. This longstanding event is one of the major events in the Dordogne.
In August the atmospheric medieval town holds the annual open-air Gourdon Theatre Festival event.
Also in August it’s the annual International Contemporary Mime Festival (MIMOS) event in Perigueux.
In September it’s the annual Circuit des Remparts classic cars event in Angouleme.
In October it’s the annual Albi Antiques Fair held at the Parc des Expositions.
