World cup ski freestyle FIS half pipe, La Plagne, French Alps, France is on again on March 20 in the northern French Alps resort of La Plagne.
For 2011 the half pipe will be the only discipline contested in the Coup de Monde de Ski Freestyle FIS / Half Pipe for men and ladies. The La Plagne event is the last of the competition so it may prove decisive.
At the moment it’s Zongyang Jia of China who heads up the World Cup standing ahead of Patrick Deneen of the USA in the men’s and Mengtao Xu of china in the lead for the ladies ahead of Hannah Kearney of the USA.
The 2011 World Cup Freestyle FIS includes Ski Cross, Aerials, Moguls and Half Pipe events in Beida Lake (CHN), St Johann (Tirol), Alpe d’Huez (FRA), Mont Gabriel (CAN), Les Contamines (FRA), Kreischberg (AUT), Lake Placid (USA), Grasgerhren (GER), Calgary (CAN), Blue Mountain (CAN), Moscow (RUS), Minsk/Raubichi (BLR), Inawashiro (JPN), Marianske Lazne (CZE), Mreringen-Hasilberg (SUI), Are (SWE), Branas (SWE), Myrkdalen-Voss (NOR) and finally La Plagne (FRA).
