La Plagne resort is spread between 1800 and 2100 metres altitude and includes 10 villages, of which Plagne Villages/Soliel at 2050 metres is one. It is a first rate family ski resort and enjoys access to one of the world’s largest ski areas. The Vanoise cable car links the resorts of Les Arcs and La Plagne. The Paradiski ski area is rightly hailed as a skier’s paradise with a diverse 425km of groomed pistes between 1200m and 3250m including two glaciers and two superb snow parks, open from mid December to end April (varies each year). There is plenty of skiing and snowboarding for all abilities at La Plagne and excellent instruction on offer from the ESF ski school. In Plagne 626 snow cannons ensure great snow conditions on the pistes which include 37 black runs, 65 red, 129 blue and 11 green, fair to say there is ample for everyone.

La Plagne is located about two hours drive from Grenoble which has direct flights with either Easyjet, flythomascook or Ryanair from Luton, Stanstead, Gatwick, Bristol, Liverpool, Birmingham and Manchester.  

As well as fantastic skiing there are numerous other activities on offer in La Plagne including ice skating, dog sleighs, snow shoe trails, cross country skiing, parascending, hang gliding, squash, indoor climbing wall, snow scooter, paint ball and bowling. Plus an international bobsleigh track which is open to the public and professionals alike, there is even an awsome artificial ice wall for practicing ice climbing.
