We have just been advised by the Chambre de Commerce et D’Industrie du Lot that there will be a new flights service to Brive airport for 2011.
Anne Simon of the chambre says "We are very pleased to tell you that the "Dordogne Valley", located in the heart of France, is now very much closer to UK and especially to London and Manchester ! The new airport « Brive - Vallée de la Dordogne » (located between Brive, Souillac and Sarlat) has opened in June this year and offers direct links with London City Airport, operated by City Jet, and Manchester Airport, operated by Jet2.com."And goes on to say" In 1 hour time only, you can reach the heart of the Dordogne Valley at a low-cost price, and discover the Great Sites of Midi-Pyrénées region, the « Land of Art and History » with Rocamadour or the Padirac chasm, and enjoy natural landscapes perfect for relaxing or outdoor activities…!"
Please note : since this article was published Jet2 have ceased flights to Brive but they do still fly to Bergerac.
