St Malo, Brittany, France is a creperie haven as well as being one of the most popular ports of arrival in northern France.
When researching for an article in the Daily Mail Jo Kessel discovered that there are creperies all over the place in Saint Malo. Children (and many adults actually) love the sweet versions and adults found the crème fraiche, spinach and onion savoury crepes were delicious.
For many there is little time other than to enjoy an early morning croissant and a first coffee on French soil by the ramparts after the overnight crossing with Brittany Ferries, undoubtedly one of the most relaxing ways to cross the channel with the family. And one of nicest coffee and croissants, it must be the sea air!
A short drive along the coast is Dinard which is another point of arrival in northern Brittany, by plane, care of Aurigny and Ryanair. Dinard has a lovely beach area which is also very nice for killing time before a flight.
