Split Riviera is a stunning stretch of coastline lined with palm trees and beautiful old architecture. High mountains loom over crystal clear seas lined with pebble and sandy beaches. There are charming fishermans ports dotted along the coast and the hinterland is dotted with olive groves and vine yards.

Split itself has a beautiful historic centre with magnificent Medeaval architecture which is largely pedestrian only. There are delightful outdoor restaurants by the quay and in the old centre, lovely cafes and plenty of boutique shops selling local products such as red coral jewelry. There are regular car ferry and hydrophoil shuttles to the islands of Brac and Hvar from Split which allow you to enjoy island life for a day out at a very reasonable price.

North of Split is the gorgeous historic town of Trogir which is great place to go for a meal in the evenings. To the south is Makarska which is pretty good for shopping.

A visit to the famous pilgrimage site of Medugorje near Mostar or even Dubrovnik are two of the numerous popular outings from the Split Riviera.

There are kilometres of beautiful coastline, much of which is wonderful to walk along. The sea is surprisingly clean and full of fish. Watersports and fishing are very popular here.

Split Travel

Split (SPU) airport is well served with direct flights from most European and Scandinavian countries during the main summer months. Dubrovnik (DBV) is also an option although it is around 250km drive. There are also indirect flights via Zagreb (ZAD) which are useful for pilgrims visiting Medugorje in the winter months.

Split Weather

The weather in Split is perfect for holiday, warm and sunny with hardly and rain from April to October. It can get quite hot in July and August however our villas are equipped with air conditioning.

Split is a modern centre with all you need including high quality shopping centres, the old town is charming and it is a perfect base for discovering the Split Riviera.
