Sea and Mountain Trophy, Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc, Alps, France takes place in Saint Gervais 31st January to 3rd February, 2011.
This will be the twentieth Trophee Mer Montagne which was established by Eric Loizeau and will once again bring together the big names of sailing and mountain sports for a superb event.
The Sea and Mountain Trophy concept is to bring together sailors, mountaineers and young sportsmen and women from Saint Gervais ski club for four days of competition so each team has a seaman and mountain man and a ski club member.
From the sea discipline there will be big names of sailing navigation such as Romain Attanasio, Philiippe Monnet and Yvan Bourgnon, from the mountaineers Stephane Brosse, Pascal Budin and Karine Ballet along with many others.
The competitions will begin in earnest on the 1st February with the Ski Alpinism, Derby and Environment, the 2nd February Descent Slalom, Ski de Fond and Sky race finishing on the 3rd February with Transstation and Blind Slalom.
An original and interesting event the Trophee Mer Montagne brings many interesting characters together for three days of fascinating competition in the beautiful resort of Saint Gervais Mont-Blanc.
