Rossini opera season in Italy commences this week in Pesaro, Le Marche, Italy from 10 to 23 August 2011.
The Rossini Opera festival was founded in order to stage the lesser known works of Gioachino Rossini who left all of his sizable fortune to the town of Pesaro. Famous works by Rossini include the Barber of Seville and William Tell.
