This superb villa with private heated pool is set in the heart of Corsica near Corte, an area famous for its marvellous walks in the surrounding hills and mountains yet just 20 minutes’ drive from the beach. The property is an ancient workhouse which has been restored with great taste.

Villa accommodation covering 220 m² on 3 floors for 10 people, 5 bedrooms, 4 shower rooms, wifi.

The ground floor of the house has a spacious light living and dining room with a wood burner (wood provided in mid-season). Fully equipped modern kitchen (with dishwasher, oven, electric hob, refrigerator etc.). Double bedroom (160 cm wide bed) and a shower room with toilet.

The upper floor has a spacious double bedroom (160 cm wide bed) with shower room and toilet. Another spacious double bedroom (140 cm wide bed) with shower room and toilet. Twin bedroom (2 x 90 cm wide beds) with an en-suite shower room and toilet which is open via an interconnecting door to another twin bedroom (2 x 90 cm wide beds), to form a suite.

The lower floor has a laundry room with washing machine and dryer.

The style and decor are great, respecting the original building and using its character to the maximum, it is both refined and elegant and right up to date. Heating is included in mid-season. There are televisions in all the bedrooms.

The enclosed grounds cover 800 m² and there is a round seven-metre-long heated swimming pool. The pool can’t be guaranteed available in mid-May or mid-October due to the location. There is garden furniture for eating outside and longers for relaxing poolside as well as a barbecue and table tennis table. You also have access to a prairie with a stream where you can go fishing.

This is an excellent, rare and unusual property. There are lots to discover in the area which is a walkers paradise, on the other side of the mountain at Niolu you can get to the fabulous Scandola reserve and Porto. A range of outdoor activities is available including climbing, via ferrata, canyoning, river fishing, depending on the season. From Fracardo you can take the mountain train for an unforgettable outing in the mountains of Vizzavona, by Ajaccio, Calvi and Bastia.

Corte is 7 minutes’ drive.
