Bali has once again been awarded the prestigious title of The Best Island in Asia Pacific by the Hong Kong based Destin Asian Magazine. This and other similar titles such as the International Travel Magazine world’s best island award have been won by Bali on a regular basis. In a very competitive category Bali has every right to be proud of such acclaim.
Perhaps the key to the success of Bali as a preferred destination is that whilst there has been substantial development of tourism on the island Balinese culture has remained broadly unaffected by the changes. To a great extent it is the Balinese way of life and manner of being which makes Bali so different from other beautiful islands.
It is the tripartite relationship which revolves around the spiritual relationship between mankind, god and their environment which is known as the “Tri Hita Karana” that determines much of Balinese culture and society. Balinese civilization is a fascinating and gentle culture which is clearly embraced by the people of Bali and admired by visitors.
The climate also plays a large part with more or less guaranteed sunshine throughout the year and clement day time temperatures of between 20 and 33 degrees Celsius. Even during the October to March rainy season there is invariable an area of the island bathed in sunshine, south of Jimbaran. Being a mountainous island Bali has numerous micro climates and there is often rainfall somewhere throughout the year which keeps the island lush.
The villa accommodation in Bali is often luxurious and Villas du Monde - Villas Worldwide has a superb selection of gorgeous villas available, see our Bali Villas for more details.
