The annual Granada Reconquest Festival takes place in Granada on 2nd January 2011 to commemorate the recapturing of the city from the Moors by the Christians.
On 22th January Jose Merce, from Jerez, performs flamenco at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville.
The annual Malaga carnival is a big event held in the streets of Malaga January – February.
In Cadiz it’s the annual Cadiz Carnival in February, another big carnival event.
