Recent years have seen a vast improvement in facilities such as an excellent main coastal road as well as even better accommodation and leisure facilities, so it’s no surprise that it attracts many wealthy visitors year after year.

Located in the southernmost part of Portugal the region has something for all, practically all year round, it has a beautiful coastline with fine sandy beaches, rocky coves and islands. Its facilities are excellent, in particular the golf courses, marinas and holiday accommodation. Shopping is first rate and there is a fine choice of restaurants for dining out, of which many offer delicious local specialties such as chicken piri-piri. The main international airport for flights to the Algarve is Faro (FAO) which is serviced by airlines Easyjet, Jet2, bmibaby, Ryanair and Aer Lingus. From the airport it usually takes at most two hours to reach the furthest villa. Most are within an hours drive, we even have a villa in Faro which is ideal for those who would rather not bother with a car.

The climate in the Algarve is perfect for summer holidays, it being lovely and warm, sunny with little rain, from April to October. The Algarve also attracts winter sun holidaymakers as it remains sunny much of the year though cooler (a villa with heated pool comes in handy).
