It’s the annual Ubud festival for writers and readers in Bali from the 7th to the 11th of October. This event has become one of the most important and biggest events of its kind in Southeast Asia.
Attended by over eighty authors from as many as 25 countries, there are novelists, playwrights, bloggers, film makers and poets and many more connected with the writing fraternity who congregate for four days of collaborative indulgence and enjoyment.
Mainly highly acclaimed writers have been know to attend including Vikram Seth who wrote A suitable boy which is one of the very best novels of the modern era. Other luminaries include Wole Soyinka (Nobel Laureate), Lloyd Jones, Hari Kunzru and NH Dini.
