Bali is a fabulous place for scuba diving and it attracts both experienced divers and beginners from all over the world. You can combine a villa holiday and diving staying at one of our gorgeous villas in the beautiful resort of Seminyak.
In Seminyak there is an English speaking diving school run by locally based instructor Beate Goldshmidt, from Habitat H20. They will take you through the basics using a local swimming pool where you familiarize yourself with diving hand signals, use of tanks and regulator and importantly how to avoid pressure on your ears. Essentially all you need to know before you take to the sea.
The reef in the waters in Indonesia account for a staggering, nearly 15 percent of the worlds coral reef system and is host to the largest variety of marine life on the planet. Furthermore, unlike many reef systems this one is in good condition and flourishing.
Accompanied by experts you can dive in the crystalline waters covering the Bali reef and view vibrant corals alive with multitudes of brightly coloured fish and impressive larger species such a rays.
At the end of a beginners course which usually lasts four days you can complete and attain an internationally recognized Open Water Diver certification allowing you to take to the water where ever you are in the World.
Even if you don’t go the whole hog and enter the scuba diving fraternity you can still sample the seas riches with a snorkel and mask, whichever you choose you won’t be disappointed.
