Termini Imerese Carnival, Sicily, Italy is on between 1st and 8th March 2011 in the streets of Termini Imerse, close to Palermo.
The Termini Imerese Carnival lays claim to being the oldest of the carnivals on the Mediterranean island of Sicily and the competition is intense amongst the local carnival factions.
The floats in the parade are themed on politics of an international nature, local politics, national issues with Berlusconi at the forefront and there are important judges deciding which float reigns including designer Sergio Staino and Gianfranco Marrone.
