Villas with child alarms in the swimming pools can be desirable for families with children who want to feel safe at their holiday house.

Security for children around swimming pools is a high priority for many parents especially with smaller children. Many seek a gated and fenced pool as a solution, however there is another. Although private pools do not have a pool life guard there is a legal requirement in some countries, France is one of them, where there has to be a security alarm on the pool if it is not properly fenced. In other countries owners are increasingly taking the initiative and installing pool security systems to prevent children drowning.

The pool alarms come in various forms, there are displacement alarms which are triggered when a certain mass (equivalent to a very small baby) displaces the water and there are infra red alarms which are triggered when the beam is crossed.
