Pedona is a beautiful village perched high on a hillside with stunning views of the plain leading to the Mediterranean coast. Nearby is the attractive town of Camiore and beyond that the Lido di Camiore which is a very good beachside resort. The charming town of Pietrasanta is also close by, it is a place steeped in history and is heavily frequented by artists and sculptures even today.

Travel to Pedona near Camiore is easy as it is around 20 minutes drive north of Pisa airport which has many direct international flights. It is a destination which quite a few clients drive to as there is good motorway access and its not too far down the coast.

Pedona Weather

The weather in Pedona is very good with plenty of warm sunshine in the summer months allowing the holiday season to extend from April through to October. Being in an elevated setting Pedona enjoys a gentle breeze from the sea which is very welcome.

The long, gently sloping beaches (of which many are private and ask a fee for access) are a great attraction of the area. You can also visit the iconic leaning tower of Pisa with ease and the many beautiful hilltop villages and the Garfagnana valley are great to explore by car. There are also good train links to Florence and Siena so you can make day trips at your leisure.
