Villa news, what's on, things to do and travel tips
This year we changed the Villas Worldwide / Villas du Monde reservations system to accommodate the wishes of both villa and chalet owners to offer varied dates in the low season months outside July and August and simultaneously to satisfy our clients wishes to begin or end their holidays on days other than weekends.
From an owners' point of view, the aim is to rent the property better outside school holiday periods when the demand is lower and value for money is more important. Often there are flights available at very good prices for weekday...

At Villas Worldwide / Villas du Monde we do our best to ensure that our properties are made available at the best possible price from the outset. Cheap discounting is not what we are about nor are our owners.
However, there are some of our property owners who like to reward early booking clients as it allows them to be sure of a certain revenue by a particular time of year and that allows them to plan accordingly.
In Greece we have a small number of villas which are available at a reduced early booking rate, it expires at the end of February. These...

Villas Worldwide / Villas du Monde has, even more, private ski chalets, individual ski apartments and apartment complex with swimming pools for winter 2017. Handpicked for quality, great prices and ease of skiing in the top resorts in the French Alps and Pyrenees.

Earlier this week Villas du Monde received a call from a client wanting to reserve the SOLA24 Villa Proche Cabris which is in the pretty village of Saint Cezaire sur Siagne in the hills 30 km behind Cannes on the French Riviera.
On their last holiday they didn't go through a reputable company like Villas du Monde and they found that the distance between the base line and the net of the tennis court at their holiday property was insufficient, the result was two broken racquets, smashed against the back fence by their big swinging teenagers.

After a particularly hot summer in the Mediterranean many families are considering turning towards holidays in mountain resorts where temperatures are more bearable, the air is clean and pure and there are lots of healthy outdoor activities.
Skiing holidays are also proving increasingly popular in the last few years as many skiers are equally conscious of how good the winter snow conditions have been in the French Alps and Pyrenees recently.
At Villas du Monde we have increased our range of self catering chalets in France to reflect the increase in...

This has been another year of steady growth for Villas du Monde and to match the increased demand we have continued to seek out the best properties in Europe's top resorts to add to our collection of hand picked holiday rental properties.
In France we have increased our range by 23 properties, mostly in Brittany but also in the south of France, the French Alps and Corsica. One we are particularly please about is the CHA13, a chateau in the Poitou Charente which sleeps 13 and has a private pool and tennis court, price per week 3660€.

The lure of warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine are reasons enough for many to head towards the Mediterranean in the south of France. Then it becomes a bit more complicated to decide between the main areas of Provence and the French Riviera. Many choose Provence mainly because of the Romans. Yes strange as it may seem it is the legacy of the Roman occupation of large swathes of the South of France and Provence in particular which attracts visitors from all over the world to Provence as it has some of the best preserved feats of roman engineering...

Brittany is located in the extreme north west of France and it is really big, so large in fact that independentist Bretons have for some time been campaigning for a referendum like the one held in Scotland recently as they feel actual self governance would be appropriate. Most holidaymakers have next to no interest in such weighty matters, they are far more concerned with the big decision which is "do we go for the north coast or the south". The administrative capital of Brittany, Rennes is in the middle, it tends to be bypassed. The north of...
