Holiday events in Costa Verde 2013. A guide to what is on the Costa Verde, Portugal this summer.

In April there is the colourful event of Holy week in Braga each year.

The banks of the majestic river Douro is are the venue for the Festival de Sao Joao summer solstice event in June.

The river Douro is the star attraction again for the spectacular Regata dos Rabelos event held each year in June with the support of the regions brands of Porto wine.

The Subir sports event is also held in Porto each year in July between the Ribera and the Coessa steps.

The International Garden festival in Ponte de Lima is held on the banks of the river Lima during July and August each year.

One of the regions main annual events is the Gualterianes Festivities which are held in August. It is a celebration of Saint Walter and incredibly it's origins date back to 1452.

The Feasts of Nossa Senhorn da Agonia start the annual three day festival in Vianna do castello in August.
