The first of the Formula one events held in Spain each year, The Spanish Grand Prix, takes place at the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona in May.
In May in Girona the colourful Temps de Flors or Flower show takes place each year.
The Primavera Sound festival is held each year in Barcelona at the Parc del Forum.
Local traditions are on display in June each year in Calella on the coast when locals dance outdoors during the Sardana Dance Festival.
The Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona holds the Palau 100 Concert Series from October to the 7th of June each year. The genre is classical music.
The Catalonian Moto GP is held at the Circuit de Catalunta near Barcelona in July each year.
The launch of the annual European Balloon Festival is a spectacular sight in the skies above Igualada each July.

In Ceranyola del Valles in July you can enjoy the annual Traditional Dance Festival.
