In Lanjaron each year in June there is the Fiesta del Agua y del Jamon or water and ham festival, curiously it starts at midnight.
The opera theatre in Seville has its Rossini season in June.
Enjoy the festive atmosphere of music and dance accompanied by traditional dress at the annual San Bernabe festival which is held for a week in June in Marbella.
Also in Marbella in June you can catch the International Art Festival which is held in Avenida del Amr and the Almeda Park.
The Sevilla Circada circus takes to the ring in Seville in July.
In Obejo in July you can watch the impressive Patatu sword dance which is held in celebration of saint San Benito.
The International Festival of Music and Dance is held during June and July in Granada each year.
On the coast the Fiestas del Virgin del Carmen is held each year in July with fish barbecues and traditional folk dancing.
Chill out in July in Almunecar at the annual Jazz en la Costa.
An event which dates back to the middle eighteen hundreds, the traditional horse racing events held in Sanlucar de Barrameda are as popular as ever in August each year.
Also in August in Malaga the annual Feria de Malaga is a celebration of Spanish culture with food, traditional costumes and of course flamenco dancing.
Inland the annual Pedro Romero Fair takes place in Ronda each year in August and September.
September is grape harvest time and the sherry producing area of Jerez celebrates the occasion each year.
