Figari is a very typical Corsican village lying just to the west of Porto Vecchio. A ribbon village, it has a good number of shops which can cater for all holiday needs. There are also a decent number of excellent restaurants where you can find high quality traditional food at very reasonable prices.

Just behind Figari lie a number of excellent sandy beaches. There are miles and miles of beach which is easily accessed from the discreetly set back road, parking is free and there is no development to spoil the view.

Beautiful sculpted rocks enhance the crystal clear quality of the water and the beaches slope gently offering perfect bathing conditions.

Between the sea and the village there are a number of spectacular walks over the hills up lush, ancient pathways and along higher more arid maquis where the views of the mountains and the sea are spectacular. Sturdy shoes are recommended.

Figari Travel

The main airport for the south of the island lies below the village in the valley. There are few flights in and out and the nature of the valley is such that the village is not unduly disturbed. Figari can be accessed from both Figari and Bastia airports.

Figari Weather

The climate in Figari is lovely and sunny from April through to October. It tends to get a bit hot in the main school holidays months of July and August.
