Corfu beaches in the north and east. Our guide to help you select the right beach for your family outings when staying in one of our villas in Corfu.
There is a great variety of beach to choose from on the Greek island of Corfu, there is everything from long sandy beaches, to idyllic coves or just somewhere quiet away from it all.
On the east coast is Avlaki which lies betwen Kassiopi and Agios Stephanos. This is a nice quiet beach (except at weekends when the locals decend) with crystal clear water which can rough up a bit in the afternoon when the sea breeze picks up.
There is also Kerasia which lies between Agios Stephanos and Kouloura, it is a nice sandy beach with a taverna. Or you may prefer the sandy bays of Agios (Saint) Spiridon which are flanked by rocks. Another quiet spot it Agnos near Roda on the northern coastline.
On the north coast there is a long sandy beach at the popular resort of Acharavi where there are also plenty of bars and restaurants or you may prefer Sidari which joins two of the villages.
For somewhere more intimate you can try Agni bay which is best accessed by boat, this is a quiet spot with only three tavernas. Another "hidden" gem is Kaminaki where the atmosphere is very friendly.
It should be noted that it is not actual legal to sunbath naked in Corfu so whilst it does go on discretion and prudence are order of the day. You can expect sea temperatures ranging from 21 degrees C in Spring to 27 degrees C in August.
