Bonifacio is a stunning town perched on a hilltop with precipitous limestone cliffs leading down to the perfect natural harbour below. As well as interesting shops and some very good restaurants there are stunning walks along the cliff top towards the lighthouse.

There are numerous boat trips running from the harbour and to really appreciate the beauty of Bonifacio its worth taking one even if it's just the short one hour option. The views of the cliffs and sea caves from a boat on a sunny day are quite breathtaking. 

There is a regular ferry service operating between Bonifacio and Santa Theresa in Sardinia. The journey takes around one hour and is a good way of accessing the island via Olbia airport using low cost flights such as the one operated by Easyjet.
