We have an excellent selection of villas in Clohars Carnoet, many have heated indoor swimming pools and are handy for the beautiful beaches. The village once inspired illustrious painters, including Paul Gauguin and is part of the present day “route des paintres”. Its easy to see what led to such famous painters establishing themselves in the area, the isle de Groix, marvelous south facing coast which has a combination of rocky outcrops and sand coves, excellent coastal paths, pretty ports, verdant countryside, mature forests, gastronomic cuisine and lively traditional fetes.

There are numerous lovely walks and you can take in the Kercousquet wind mill (which can be visited on request out of season), the Pont de St Maurice and the Maison Marie Henry where Gauguin and his friends stayed. The legendary Carnoet forest has beautiful high trees and charming pathways. There are a number of handsome churches including St Maudet which dates from the 17^th century and is open to visits. Nowadays the area is still much appreciated by painters along with sailors and fishermen and those who just enjoy being by the sea.
