The village of Valbonne is a big favourite of British and Scandinavian visitors in particular. The village square with it's arcades lined with cafes, restaurants and shops is the epicentre and from there a series of beautiful narrow, traffic free streets form a grid. Below the village centre is an area where there are many art exhibitions as well as concerts.

The choice of restaurants is exceptional, you will find classic French, Italian, Moroccan and Indian, many with outdoor dining areas spilling over into the streets and square. The outdoor restaurant and cafe ambiance is exceptional and there is even a really good Irish pub.

The modern art scene is vibrant in Valbonne and there are often sculptures to be found in the parks. There are a number of exhibition galleries to view as well as a good range of attractive shops and boutiques. The market is very excellent with lots of fresh, colourful local produce.

The Grand Bastide golf course nearby offers golfers the chance to play amidst beautiful scenery and there is a very good restaurant.

It is also worth a visit to the olive oil museum shop in nearby Opio if you fancy a first rate dressing on your holiday salads.
