The Château de Saint-Martory is a landmark building nestling in the Garonne river valley, in the foothills of the Pyrénées. Located 45 minutes drive (normally) from Toulouse.
Built in the 1520s, the property has been fully renovated and offers modern, luxurious facilities in an authentic historical environment.The Château is situated at the outskirts of the small village of Saint-Martory and surrounded by 40 hectares of tree plantations, ensuring calm and relaxation for all.
The living areas include two dining rooms, a living room, a billiard room and a fully functional office/business center. The formal dining room can be converted on demand into a spacious conference room with all the necessary equipment.
The historical Salle des Gardes was initially a room where the castle’s personnel cooked and guards came for some heat by the massive fireplace, it has since become the primary dining room…and remains the true center of the Château
The living room’s are XIXth century gothic revival. The chimney was redone based on drawings representing one of the Chambord castle fireplaces, while the wooden paneling adds a warm feeling.
The formal Dining Room is the perfect setting for an exceptional receptions with its impressive perspective and huge fireplace. Yet, it can also be converted into a conference room with a capacity of 20-25 participants. Fully equipped kitchen.
The Office offers a quiet space for work, communications and reading. It is equipped with a fully-functional PC with internet access and all commonly-used software, a printer and a fax machine.
Located on the château's top floor, the Billiard Room is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of armagnac after dinner. It includes a large-screen television set with a large choice of DVDs, and a stereo system.
Six spacious rooms with en-suite baths welcome visitors in the most luxurious settings a true Château has to offer. Simplicity and attention to details make each of them unique.
Each room has been decorated step by step by the owner over a five-year timeframe, with furniture coming from various origins. All the rooms are equipped with a TV set and a DVD player; five of them boast queen (160cm wide) or king size (180cm wide) beds while one room is equipped with two spacious single beds (90cm wide). Additional rooms are now available at the farmhouse located across the lawn from the Château, ask for details.
The chateau`s pool is open from May until October and is the ideal place to enjoy those precious and rare moments of relaxation. Fishing and hunting are among the other activities available on site, depending on the season.
Most other sports are available nearby, including tennis (in the village), horseback riding (30 minutes away) golf (less than one hour away) and the whole range of winter and summer mountain sports (one hour away on average), from skiing to rafting, trekking, paragliding etc.
