La Rosiere 1850 chalets, holiday rentals, ski gites, self catering accommodation for winter holidays in La Rosiere, French Alps. Ranging from a 3 bedroom chalet for 8 with access to a shared swimming pool to a superb luxury chalet sleeping up to 16 people. Our La Rosiere chalets are self catering but we can organize excellent chalet catering on request.

La Rosiere 1850 is a charming ski resort with typical wooden style architecture and is on a scale which makes it particularly appealing to families and indeed was presented with an award to that effect in 2006. The resort has all you need without being overbearing. The La Rosiere resort is perched on the mountainside and commands fabulous views of the valley. South facing, the resort enjoys plenty of sunshine.

Linked with the resorts of La Thuile and Val d’Aoste, La Rosiere offers 160km of groomed ski runs between the altitudes of 1200m and 2650m all accessible on the San Bernado ski pass 2012. There are 15 black runs, 32 red, 25 blue and 8 green. To ensure optimum ski conditions on the pistes there are 398 snow cannons. In 2011 La Rosiere celebrates its 50 anniversary as a fully operating ski resort.

La Rosiere is located about two hours drive from Grenoble which has direct flights with either Easyjet, flythomascook or Ryanair from Luton, Stanstead, Gatwick, Bristol, Liverpool, Birmingham and Manchester. Alternatively La Rosiere 1850 is around two hours and thirty five minutes drive from Geneva.

Other than the regular ski pistes La Rosiere also boasts a ski jump ramp, two luge tracks, three snow zones for boarders and there is even a snowkite school. Ski lessons are available with the ESF and there is even a dedicated snowboard school called Ride'n style. In addition to the Ecole de Ski Francais there is the Evolution 2 ski school.

There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants but La Rosiere is above all a family ski resort which is very well geared up to the needs of children and parents alike.
