Our villas are situated on the south and west coasts of the beautiful Balearic island of Ibiza. Ibiza is a Mediterranean island located about 80 kilometres off the coast of Spain, it is the third largest of the Balearic autonomous community. Ibiza town is the largest city and Santa Eularia and Sant Antoni de Portmany are the other two of note. The island of Ibiza is renowned for its club scene. Amongst the most popular clubs are Space, Pacha, Privilege (the largest club in the world), Amnesia, DC10, Es Paradis and Café del mar.

The island also has another side to it which is more countrified and there are a number of excellent walks in UN World heritage sites which make up large portions of the island. The main language is Spanish although Catalan and the local dialect known as Eivessenc or Ibicenco is also in popular use. The island of Ibiza is fairly small being just 45kms wide and 25kms long.

Weather

The climate is wonderfully Mediterranean although not as hot in summer as Majorca. The hottest months are July and August when temperatures tend to average 30 degrees centigrade, from April to October temperatures are often in the ’20s and best of all there is hardly any rainfall.

Travel

There are numerous direct international flights from most regional UK airports to Ibiza airport (IBZ). Flight operators to Ibiza include Easyjet, Jet2, Bmibaby and Ryanair as well as British Airways.

The island is very popular with tourists and travellers from all over the world who come to enjoy the gorgeous beaches, crystal clear sea and the lifestyle. For over twenty years Ibiza has been the club capital of the world but it has recently developed into a year-round luxury holiday destination building on the inherent attraction of the culture, beaches, landscape and nightlife.

Water activities including snorkelling, scuba diving, jet skis or pedaloes are very popular here and it is an excellent place to enjoy a day's sailing. If you want to find a quiet beach then head to the north of the island where you can enjoy the long sandy Xarraca beach. Or from San Antonio, you can take the boat trip to Cala Conta or Cala Basa which are great beaches for children and the water is warm and shallow.
