Vauris is a small hamlet located near to the riverside town of Fumel (photograph shown), the delightful village of Monflanquin and the vibrant market town of Villeneuve sur Lot. The famous wine producing area of Cahors is also within easy striking distance.

The nearest airport to Vauris is Brive Vallee de la Dordogne (BVE), 123km, which has recently opened for direct international flights from London City airport, serviced by KLM and Air France. Toulouse Blagnac airport (TLS) is another option 135km. The A20 motorway is very useful for access by self drive.

Vauris Weather

The Vauris climate is warm and sunny during the main summer months from May to September. There is little rainfall during this period. In July and August it can get fairly hot with temperatures rising into the 30's centigrade.
