Quiberon is a small port and from here you can catch a ferry to Belle isle and a number of the other islands in the bay of Morbihan. The atmosphere of the port is lively and pleasant, the rugged coastline has some lovely sheltered beaches to the east, particularly the Grande Plage which is flanked by restaurants and cafes, even a mini golf.

Travelling to Quiberon is very good as there are many options available. The nearest car ferry port is Roscoff 221km, then Saint Malo 223km, followed by Caen Ouistraham 354km, Cherbourg 388km and finally the channel tunnel and short sea crossings at Calais 679km. There are direct international flights to Nantes (NTE) 157km (around 2 hours by car) and Dinard (DNR) 226km (about 2 hour and 40 minutes drive).

The climate in Quiberon is ideal for family holidays from May to September. The best months are peak season school holidays, July and August when it gets nice and warm. There is always some rain but the passing gulf stream helps maintain sea and air temperatures at agreeable levels.
