At the charming seaside resort of Moelan sur mer in south Brittany Le Pressoir du Garzon is a highly rated creperie.
Also in Moelan the Pub Odyssee is a friendly place to enjoy a drink.
In the riverside village of Riec sur Belon the restaurant Chez Jacky offers a charming setting with lovely views where you can enjoy a superb seafood platter.
To buy fresh fish and seafood visit the three small, picturesque ports of Belon, Merrien and Brigneau. The afternoon catch at Belon is perfect for freshly caught langoustine, a delicious Breton speciality, easy to cook with a dash of white wine.
For a civilized cup of tea or an aperatif try the Manoir de Kertalg on the outskirts of Moelan.
In the riverside town of Pont Aven, renowned as a centre for artists there are a number of excellent restaurants. For a gastronomic treat try La Taupiniere which is a favourite of our local director.
On the quay by the river in Pont Aven Les Mimosas offers a great bistro menu.
Concarneau is one of the larger towns in south Brittany and there is a wide choice of restaurants on offer. Our recommendation is the La Croisiere which overlooks the old citadel.
In Doelan there are a number of charming cafes on the left bank of the river with outdoor terraces overlooking the port. You can also buy fresh fish on the right bank when the daily catch comes in.
One of the best restaurants in Brittany is L'Amphitryon in Lorient. It has two Michelin stars.
If lobster is your thing then head for Cleden Cap Sizun, you will love the homard de L'Etrave.
