Located near Toulouse the Cite de L'Espace is a living European space experience which has plenty to entertain and educate budding astronauts and adults alike. The French "space city" has real size mock ups of the fifty five metres high Ariane 5 space rocket as well as the Soyuz module and the Mir space station.

There are also interactive exhibits such as the mission control room where you can do the count down and partake in a simulation of a rocket launch then assist with the flight and even release a satellite.

The IMAX show films in three dimension of the Space Station, the planetarium takes you far away into 360 degree space and the world of cosmic collisions and fabulous planets. The Stellarium lets you in to the world of the astronaut and the Moon runner allows you to have a go at "weightless walking".
