The Cap Corse points like a finger into the Mediterranean towards Genoa on mainland Italy. For dramatic scenery the Cap is hard to beat. 

At the base of the Cap lies Bastia, Corsica’s second largest town. A Port full of character, with large squares often occupied by colourful markets, there is good selection of shops and many excellent cafes and restaurants. Just around the top of the island is the popular resort of St Florent, often referred to as the Saint Tropez of Corsica. On the north western tip the delightful fishing village of Centuri is a big favourite for a seafood meal.
 
The Cap produces one of the best Corsican wines at the Patrimonio wine area, the rose in particular is very drinkable on a hot sunny day. Walkers enjoy the challenge of reaching the summit of Mount Stello, at 1,307 metres it is the highest peak on the Cap and offers sensational panoramic views from the top.
 
The picturesque village of Erbalunga lies a few kilometers downhill from Brando and is renowned for its beautiful rocky coastline.
