Ascain is located just a few kilometres inland from the famous fishing port of Saint Jean de Luz. This gorgeous village nestles in the hills of the “Basque country”, built around a traditional village square complete with Pelote Basque wall and the 14th-century church. The nearest airport to Ascain is Biarritz Airport (BAQ) which is serviced by low-cost flight operators. Bordeaux Airport is also within reasonable driving distance. A toll motorway runs within twenty minutes drive of the village facilitating good access by road.

A verdant part of France due to fairly regular showers due to the proximity of the Pyrénées it is also nice and warm from April to October and often hot in July and August.
